Remote activation

While the labels can be applied during production, the activation of AuthenticTag is done remotely. As long as the tags are not activated, the product will not be legitimate and will not respond positively when the application reader is prompted, giving the manufacturer complete control.



Protection from unauthorized overproduced batches

In addition to the theft of merchandise in all the links of the distribution chain,
the (fraudulent) production of extra lots by authorized workshops is standard practice. These lots enter the clandestine trade circuit as products of original quality.

Not only can labels be placed after the product has left the manufacturing facility, but also be activated remotely. In this way, the authenticity of the labeled and activated products is double guaranteed.

In case of batches compromised for any reason, AuthenticTag tags can be deactivated remotely, removing the product immediately from the authenticity circuit.



Alternatively to the deactivation, it is possible to configure the label to respond to the scan with a message indicating the product is stolen; also send a message with the item’s geo-location to the manufacturer.



Protection during online purchases

Before consumers complete the purchase online, they can check or verify that the product is authentic by confirming the availability of the AuthenticTag chip.



Given the possibility of leaks of non-legitimate or counterfeit products in the chain, with AuthenticTag the distributors can ensure that they offer authentic products, avoiding the risks of exposing their image facing an eventual possibility of selling risky or low-quality products.



Help for people with visual disabilities

The app is configurable so that just by approximating the cell phone to the product with the label, the reader identifies it and issues a verbal message verifying the authenticity.
